I've always felt like I had "an eye." I could look at a subject, a sunset or some cool graffiti on a wall and in my mind, I'd frame it up and think, 'that could be a cool picture.'
But it wasn't until my wife was pregnant with Grace that I jumped into the DSLR world. It took some convincing to throw down $600 or $700 bucks on a starter camera with no idea what I was doing. However, I believe "I'll shoot TONS of pictures of Grace" statement really turned her around!
So, here we are, almost two years later. Tons of really bad photos, a few decent ones, a handful of good ones and I finally feel like I'm starting to find my way.
It just so happens, I'm getting ready to start my final year of my 30's. (Thoughts on that will be reserved for a personal blog some other time.)
I wanted to do something that would help me grow in my new passion and also give me something to look back on when I'm "that 40 year old dude!"
So, from May 2nd, 2016 to May 1st, 2017 I'm going to document my final year of my 30's with one pic a day that sums up where I am at that moment. I'm sure some will be fun, some will be simple, hopefully some will have a purpose, but all will be what I see thru my viewfinder.
